NeoVisc® FAQ > Is NeoVisc® Covered By My Insurance?

Most insurance companies cover "viscosupplement injections" (under the Extended Health Benefit Plan). If your company does, they should cover NeoVisc®. You may be asked for a DIN number (Drug Identification Number). NeoVisc®, like all viscosupplements, is classed as a medical device by Health Canada, and has no DIN. Most insurance carriers will simply use the name NeoVisc® for identification, or they may generate their own product identification number.
